LEWISTON, Idaho – Head coach Katie Palmer and the LC State volleyball program have announced several camp opportunities for all ages this summer.

The Warriors will host their annual all-skills camp for girls and boys entering grades 6-12 on July 8-9. New this summer is the addition of a positional camp for girls and boys entering grades 6-12 on July 23-23. A youth clinic for girls and boys entering grades 3-6 will be held on July 24. In addition, LC State Volleyball will host an elite prospect camp for girls and boys entering grades 9-12 with extensive playing experience Aug. 9-10.

“We had a tremendous camp turnout last summer,” Palmer said. “I’m excited to be adding a positional camp this summer to continue developing skill and relationships with the volleyball community. The environment we create is inclusive and engaging for all levels of experience.”

The all-skills camp is best suited for volleyball players who want to sharpen their skills in all areas of the game of volleyball and is great for all levels of experience. The camp is July 8-9 and includes 12 hours of instruction and a t-shirt for $175.

The positional camp is designed for volleyball players who want to take a deep dive into one or two specific positions and is great for intermediate to advanced levels of experience. The camp is July 22-23 and includes nine hours of instruction and a t-shirt for $150. The youth camp is best suited for the younger volleyball enthusiast or beginners. Coach Palmer and the Warriors will introduce skills and concepts that make volleyball enjoyable. The camp is July 24 and includes three hours of instruction and a t-shirt for $75.

“In addition to the individual camps offered, I’m thrilled to host the inaugural Snake River Showdown Team Tournament this summer,” Palmer added. “We already have 14 teams committed including 11 teams who went deep in their respective high school state championships. The competition will be great and connecting with programs all over the region is important to me as a coach.”

The Snake River Showdown team tournament is for varsity-level high school programs and offers a schedule of competitive play and on-court learning. High school coaches interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible as spaces is limited. Registration is $500 per team and includes 2.5 days of competition.

“An important aspect of the recruiting process is getting to know athletes on and off the court. Hosting an elite prospect camp allows our staff to see how quickly a potential recruit can make changes on the court,” Palmer added. “I encourage anyone interested in the program to join us in the gym Aug. 9 and 10 for an incredible training experience and an exclusive chance to watch the Warriors scrimmage. Come see what #InSuchAWay means.”

The elite prospect camp is best suited for athletes with extensive playing experience. The camp is Aug. 4-5 and includes eight hours of instruction, t-shirt and access to the LC State Volleyball Blue vs. Red Scrimmage for $150.

All camp registration is limited to enhance the experience for each participant. Register EmailHosting.cloud has detected a phishing attempt from “r20.rs6.net”. Clicking this link is not recommended: HERE. For questions and more information, email Head Coach Katie Palmer at [email protected].
