LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Women’s Basketball has announced its slate of summer camps for 2024. Head Coach Caelyn Orlandi and the Warriors will host a Junior Warrior Camp as well as a Warrior Fundamental Skills Camp.

The Junior Warrior Camp, for kids entering grade 1-6, is set for June 17-20 in the P1FCU Activity Center. The four-day camp will run from 1-3 p.m. for $100. Athletes that attend the camp will focus on fundamentals and skill development with both individual and team competitions based on age and ability.

“Junior Warrior Camp is always one of my favorites,” Orlandi said. “The focus of this camp is to teach young basketball players the fundamentals needed to succeed in the game. This camp is for all skill levels and instruction will be modified to all those interested in playing the game of basketball. Basketball is played best when having fun and our focus is to provide an environment to help young girls develop their love for the game.”

The Warrior Fundamental Skills Camp, for kids entering grades 3-12, will take place June 24-27 from 9 a.m.-noon. The focus will be on shotting fundamentals, skill development and include shot analysis for each participant. The cost is $150.

“This camp will cover many different aspects of the game, but a big focus of this camp will be shooting mechanics,” Orlandi explained. “Each participant’s shot will be recorded and then reviewed with a LC coach. Instruction will include ball handling, shooting off the pass, shooting off the dribble, attacking defenders, reading the defense and decision making. Competitions will be present throughout the whole week and will allow players to compete against each other. Competitions will be based off of skill level and grade. This will be a great camp full of instruction and opportunities to elevate your game.”
