Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Bolsters Seat Belt Enforcement Efforts

Sandra Kinney
May 16, 2024

(Nez Perce County, ID) The initiative underscores the commitment to the Sheriff’s Office to prioritize the well-being of Idaho’s citizens and visitors by reducing the number of preventable accidents and fatalities on our roads.  Idaho has always been dedicated to providing safe and efficient transportation for its residents and travelers. By bolstering seat belt enforcement efforts, the Sheriff’s Office is taking a crucial step forward in achieving its vision of safer and more secure roadways.

Starting May 20th, there will be increased patrols dedicated to seat belt usage. This enhanced presence will help create a stronger deterrent for those not wearing their seat belts. By increasing seat belt enforcement, Nez Perce County aims to reduce the number of accidents and save lives. Studies have shown that seat belts significantly reduce the risk of injury and death in the event of a crash. We encourage all drivers to make buckling up a habit. Your safety is the priority.
