Lewiston Civic Theatre Presents Annie: A Heartwarming Holiday Classic! December 5-15, 2024

LEWISTON, ID – Get ready for a musical experience that will warm your heart and delight audiences of all ages. This December, the Lewiston Civic Theatre is proud to present Annie, directed by guest director Andy Meyers. Based on the beloved comic strip by Harold Gray, this timeless tale has captured the hearts of millions and is a must-see this holiday season.

Annie has won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and features a beloved book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin. With unforgettable songs like the optimistic anthem Tomorrow,” this production promises to inspire hope and fill your heart with laughter.

Join them as they follow the spirited Little Orphan Annie, who escapes the clutches of the cruel Miss Hannigan to spend the holidays with the generous billionaire Oliver Warbucks. This heartwarming story, filled with humor and charm, is the perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andy Meyers as our guest director. As the Artistic Director of Fort Peck Summer Theatre and Resident Director for House of Spirits NYC, Andy brings a wealth of experience to this production. His impressive acting credits include National Tours of Annie and A Christmas Carol, as well as a recent performance at The Met Opera in NYC. With his artistic vision, Andy aims to capture the magic of this classic while incorporating nostalgic elements from the original comic strip.

This enchanting production will feature double-cast orphans, so dont miss your chance to see both Rowan Squires and Tenley Taylor share the title role of Annie! Ryan Kendell makes his LCT debut as Oliver Warbucks, alongside familiar faces Kelly Riddle (Grace Farrell), Amanda Marzo (Miss Hannigan), Micheal Keene (Rooster), and Monica Evans (Lily St. Regis), supported by a talented ensemble.
