LEXINGTON, Ky. – Juliauna Forgach Aguilar earned her highest honor yet with an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention nod on Tuesday. The junior is the first All-American under coach Katie Palmer at LC State after a record-setting season.
“LC State Volleyball has a rich tradition of cultivating All-American pin hitters, and today Juliauna has carved her name alongside some of the best to ever play for the Warriors,” Palmer said. “This honor highlights not just her individual talent, but how she is also an exceptional teammate who is always working for the program’s success. We are thrilled to have her back in the Warrior uniform for one more season to see what she can continue to accomplish.”
On the same day she was honored as a CSC Academic All-District Honoree, Forgach Aguilar added her first All-American honor to her First-Team All-Cascade Conference and AVCA First-Team All-Northwest Region accolades in 2024. The junior put together one of the best offensive seasons in program history where she shattered the LC State record in kills per set (4.60) and points per set (4.91). Her 488 total kills rank seventh in Warrior history for a single season and three of her single-match kill totals rank in the top 10 with amounts of 32, 27 and 26.
The outside hitter led the CCC and was fourth in the NAIA in total kills in the regular season, and she was sixth in the nation in kills per set. Her 56 blocks added to her season point total of 520.5 which had her in the top 10 of the NAIA and ranks seventh in program history. She was efficient with an attack percentage of .233.
She was voted the Cascade Conference Attacker of the Week once and also earned Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Cascade Conference honors. The Morenci, Ariz., native maintains a 3.94 grade point average as a Sport Management major and is on the ballot for CSC Academic All-America.
