MOSCOW— The Moscow Arts Commission and the City of Moscow announced the Mayor’s Arts Awards event to be held in the 1912 Center Great Room at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
The public is invited to celebrate alongside the 2022 Mayor’s Arts Awards recipients as well as their families and friends. The 2022 award recipients receive a custom-designed artwork made by a local artist, Jana Vrtelova Holbert. Receiving awards this year are:
- Rootforest LLC for Outstanding Contribution as a Business
- Jennifer Rod for Outstanding Achievement in Arts Education
Also recognized at the ceremony will be the previous cycle’s Mayor’s Arts Awards recipients, whose awards were given without a ceremony in 2020 due to the need for social distancing at that time. Those award recipients are:
- Rdesign/Melissa Rockwood for Outstanding Contribution as a Business
- Carolyn Guy for Individual Excellence in the Arts
- Paul Anders for Arts Advocacy
- Jim Christiansen for Lifetime Achievement
The ceremony will feature a presentation of awards by Mayor Art Bettge. The event will also include desserts made by Goosehouse Bakery, a no-host bar by Pour Company, and live music by Jim Boland.
