ASOTIN COUNTY TO HOLD RESOURCE FAIR FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Families, caregivers, educators, and high school students with disabilities (504 Plans, Individualized Educational Plans, or a documented disability) are invited to attend the Asotin County Resource Fair on November 8 from 4 pm to 6:30 pm at the Asotin County Fire District #1 on Appleside Blvd in Clarkston. Refreshments are provided as well as free books for younger family members.

Washington Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDA) and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) team with local providers to offer transition services with the goal of preparing high school students with disabilities for successful, productive community integration including competitive careers upon graduation.

Division of Vocational Rehabilitation offers students and adults ages 16+ opportunity to apply for job readiness training including paid work experiences.

Developmental Disabilities Administration offers JOB FOUNDATIONS (Jobs by 21) for students 19-21 years of age with mild to severe developmental disabilities.

The Resource Fair is organized by Asotin County, Washington’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Developmental Disabilities Administration. Representatives from area service providers include WorkSource, Rural Resources, Opportunities Unlimited, LLC, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, The Green Apple Project, Quality Behavioral Health, Asotin County Birth to Three Developmental Program, and more!
