On October 5, 2023, at approximately 8:20 PM, Idaho County Dispatch took a 911 call regarding an assault occurring in the White Bird area.
Idaho County Deputies responded and spoke with both parties, and subsequently made an arrest.
Marlin Dewitt, age 66, of Grangeville, Idaho was arrested for felony aggravated assault and felony unlawful possession of a firearm. He was also cited for misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor malicious injury to property.
