Fire at 436 Bryden Ave.

At 10:40 pm a fire broke out in a swimming pool full of yard debris at 5th St. & Bryden Ave. First arriving crews found a large amount of white smoke and flames coming from the back of the residence.
Crews made access to the back yard and found a large in-ground swimming pool full of yard debris on fire. There were no structures threatened, so all other resources were cancelled. Mutual was requested specifically from Asotin County Fire District #1 to utilize their 2 water tenders. The assistance from ACFD#1 allowed Bryden Avenue to remain open and keep traffic flowing while a large amount of water was utilized to extinguish the debris fire.
The department responded with 1 structure engine, 1 chief officer and the mutal aid from ACFD#1. Crews were on scene for 2 hours ensuring the fire was contained within the concrete pool structure.
