(Lewiston, ID) Warrior Basketball continued to dominate the Cascade Conference weekly awards, this time with sophomore Alton Hamilton earning his second weekly honor of the season. The CCC’s leading scorer put together an impressive weekend en route to his recognition.
Hamilton could not be stopped offensively over the weekend with 22 points against Northwest and 26 against Evergreen State for 24 points per game. The sophomore shot .563 from the field (18-for-32) and made 11 free throws in the two games. He used his defense (rebounds, steals and blocks) to account directly for 26 points. Hamilton totaled 20 rebounds to average a double-double with 10 per game, along with three steals and three blocks.
The Fontana, Calif., native leads the Cascade Conference in both scoring (22.4) and rebounding (11.0). He ranks ninth in the NAIA in rebounding and 13th in scoring.
This is the second weekly honor of the season for Hamilton and third of his career.
