LEXINGTON, Ky. – Juliauna Forgach Aguilar added to her stellar junior season with an AVCA First-Team All-Northwest Region nod on Friday. The outside hitter improved upon her 2023 honorable mention honor after rewriting the LC State Volleyball record book and earning First-Team All-Cascade Conference honors for the second year in a row.

“We are extremely proud of Juliauna for being named AVCA First-Team All-Northwest Region,” Head Coach Katie Palmer said. “This recognition is a reflection of her hard work, dedication and the leadership she brings to our team every day. Juliauna has not only excelled on the court but has also shown tremendous growth and commitment to her role, and this honor is well-deserved. We are excited to see her continue to achieve great things both individually and as part of our team.”

Forgach Aguilar put together one of the most prolific offensive seasons in program history and rewrote the record book in multiple categories. The junior from Morenci, Ariz., shattered the LC State record in kills per set (4.60) and points per set (4.91). The previous records were 3.95 in kills per set (Kennedie Clute, 2015) and 4.57 in points per set (Anile Clemente, 2008). Her 488 total kills ranks seventh in Warrior history for a single season and three of her single-match kill totals rank in the top 10 with amounts of 32, 27 and 26.

The outside hitter led the CCC and was fourth in the NAIA in total kills in the regular season, and she was sixth in the nation in kills per set. Her 56 blocks added to her season point total of 520.5 which had her in the top 10 of the NAIA and ranks seventh in program history. She was efficient with an attack percentage of .233.
