LC State Graphic Communications Program Recognized as Exemplary

July 2, 2024

(LEWISTON, ID) — In an announcement last week, the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education recognized the Lewis-Clark State College graphic communications program as its 2024 postsecondary exemplary program.

Assistant Professor, Sam Coulter, and associate professor, Andy Tuschhoff, will accept the award on behalf of the program during the annual Connect Conference later this summer.

“We are honored and ecstatic to be one of the chosen programs acknowledged in an educational system that has many passionate educators working so hard to promote CTE and inspire students to become lifelong learners and skilled, industry professionals,” said Coulter, who has taught at LC State since the fall of 2019.

The conference will take place in Meridian, Idaho, from July 31- Aug. 2 and will feature updates, keynotes, professional development opportunities, and networking. Coulter and Tuschhoff have been invited to share about the LC State graphic communications program.

LC State offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in graphic communications, a 60-credit program that prepares graduates for careers as graphic designers, freelance creatives, press technicians, and more. Other program offerings include an Associate of Applied Science degree in packaging design (60 credits) and a packaging design intermediate technical certificate (30 credits).
