Lewiston man Arrested in Orofino After Breaking into Storage Unit

OROFINO – On Wednesday, October 26, at approximately 2:31 p.m., Orofino Police Department responded to a suspicious call of a male subject using bolt cutters to attempt to enter a storage unit located at 1940 Odie Street, in Orofino Idaho.

Orofino Police Department contacted the vehicle and driver that matched the description of the suspect.

Upon contact, the driver was identified as Michael W McGarvey, of Lewiston. Upon
the investigation, Orofino Police was able to ascertain that the subject had broken into a storage unit and stolen property was found and recovered in the vehicle McGarvey was driving.

McGarvey was subsequently arrested for Felony Burglary, Misdemeanor Possession of a Stolen Property, and Misdemeanor Possession of Burglary Tools and is also subsequently being held on a probation violation.
