Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport Announces They Will Offer Flights to Seattle

Lewiston, ID- In a press conference on Friday, August 11, the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport announced that they will now offer flights to Seattle via Delta Airlines. These flights will begin to take place on October 9th, 2023 and the arrival will be Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The board of directors expressed excitement since as they said, “We are the smallest community in the United States with two signature carriers and we all fought hard to keep this service during Covid.” During public comment, individuals also expressed excitement for this new service. After five years of working towards this project, Lewiston has a nonstop service to Seattle again.

“An early morning flight is planned from Lewiston departing to Seattle at 7:00 a.m. and arriving at 8:32 a.m.. The return flights from Seattle to Lewiston will be schedule to depart Seattle at 7:45 p.m. arriving in Lewiston at exactly 9:00 p.m.

The directors also went on to encourage individuals in the LC Valley to “Please fly in and out of Lewiston” (Laurie Wilson).

According to the airport’s official news release, “The flight will operate on an Embraer 175 aircraft, as do the existing flights to Delta’s hub at Salt Lake City. It will feature 12 first class seats, 20 Delta comfort+ seats, and 38 seats in the main cabin”.

Toward the end of the conference, the board of directors shared that the goal is a 100,000-passenger threshold, and they hope this new service will achieve it.
