An opportunity for citizens to address the Commission with comments and/or questions about Planning and Zoning Commission-related matters that are not a public hearing action item on this agenda. Citizens are asked to limit their time to three minutes each.

III. ACTIVE AGENDA
A. APPROVAL OF JUNE 12, 2024 MEETING MINUTES (ACTION ITEM)
B. PUBLIC HEARING AND SUBSEQUENT DELIBERATION AND RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL ON ZONING CODE AMENDMENT, ZA-02-24, SHIPPING CONTAINERS (ACTION ITEM):: Lewiston City Code, Sec 37-129 prohibits the use of shipping containers as storage buildings in all zoning districts except the Industrial, Port and Airport Zoning Districts. Lewiston City Council, at their work session meeting on June 3, 2024, directed staff to begin the public hearing process to remove this prohibition from city code. A related amendment to the definition of “building” in city code is also proposed. The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider this matter and make a recommendation to City Council to approve or deny this proposal. – Action Item

A. QUERY OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE JULY 10, 2024 MEETING (PUBLIC HEARING ON ZA-01-24, REMOVAL OF PUBLIC WORKS REQUIREMENTS FROM THE ZONING CODE).
