ASOTIN – A man was raced to the hospital following a car vs motorcycle accident near Asotin.
According to a post on Asotin County Fire District #1’s Facebook page, the Asotin County Fire District #1, City of Asotin, and Lewiston rescue crews responded to the crash about 2 miles north of Asotin on State Highway 129 just after 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The motorcycle rider received multiple injuries. The people in the car were uninjured.
Traffic was stopped for about 20 minutes while rescue personnel cared for the injured man. The cause of the crash is under investigation. There were no other reported injuries. Both the motorcycle and car were heavily damaged in this crash.
Asotin County Fire Chief Noel Hardin said it’s the time of year when many motorcycles are on the road. He said to please use extreme caution and look for motorcycles when you are driving anywhere.
The motorcycle in his wreck did have its front headlight on.
