KAMIAH, Idaho:— Have you ever wanted to live on the edge of a vast wilderness? Perhaps you’ve dreamed of waking up beside some of the best fishing holes in Idaho? Or maybe your goal is to make your home a short hike from some of the most beloved hot springs in the United States? If so, and you also are committed to public service, you probably should apply for one of the volunteer campground host opportunities now available on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests!

Volunteer Campground host opportunities are available at ten different locations across the breadth of the 4-million-acre forests. Hosts work approximately 20 hours per week, from mid-may until mid-September. Hosts must provide their own RV or camp trailer, assist in light facility maintenance, wear a uniform, and represent the forests to the public. They are also required to hold a valid driver’s license, First Aid and CPR certification. All hosts will be provided with equipment, training, and at some sites water, sewer, electric, and propane hookups for their site.

Apply soon, because applications will be reviewed in March and hosts will be selected in early April! Application information can be found at this link http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/nezperceclearwater/workingtogether/volunteering
