(Coeur d’Alene) Idaho State Police are investigating a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred Sunday morning, north of Coeur d’Alene.
According to police, at approximately 8:45 a.m., on US95 near mile post 460, about 27 miles north of Coeur d’Alene, a black 2015 Ford F-150, driven by a 45 year-old male from Post Falls, was traveling northbound when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle veered across the southbound lanes and crashed into a tree on the shoulder of the roadway.
Police say the man was not wearing his seat belt and succumbed to his injuries on scene.
Southbound traffic on US95 was partially blocked for approximately 2 hours. The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
