Outage Required for Avista and Clearwater Power Customers Saturday, October 29

SPOKANE – Approximately 699 Avista and 697 Clearwater Power customers in Pierce, Weippe, and the surrounding area will experience a power outage starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29. Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified.

The work will be conducted near Orofino but no one in Orofino will be without power. During this time, Avista crews will be replacing structures that were damaged during a recent wildfire that impacted the area. Traffic control will be in place while the work is being conducted.

Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.

Avista and Clearwater Power customer service representatives have a variety of resources available to assist customers in need. Customers who have questions or concerns can contact Avista at(800) 227-9187 or Clearwater Power at (208) 743-1501 and reference the outage number 280166.
