CORVALLIS, Ore. – Junior guard Ellie Sander continued to show her improvement with a career night on Friday and another strong performance on Saturday to help the No. 7 Warrior women to pair of Cascade Conference wins.
In the Warriors’ victory over rival Eastern Oregon, the junior scored a career-high 28 points with a staggering 12-for-14 (.857) performance from the field. She shot 4-for-5 from 3-point range and also tallied four rebounds and five assists. She added 11 points against College of Idaho with three rounds, three assists and three steals. Sander shot 80% from the field in the two games and 75% from 3-point range. She leads the CCC in 3-point field goal percentage this season at 44.1%.
This is the first weekly honor of Sander’s career.
