Single-Engine Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Bryden Canyon Golf Course

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport had a small aircraft accident at approximately 11:16 a.m. today.

A single-engine Cessna 172 carrying two persons aboard made an emergency landing adjacent to the airfield in Bryden Canyon Golf Course after losing power. The aircraft hit a tree with the wing tip and landed without further incident. No other damage or injuries were reported.

Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department, and LWS Airport Fire Department responded to the scene.

FAA and NTSB are investigating the incident.
