(Lewiston, ID) Toys For Tots, a 501(c)3 charity, has released their 2024 Year End Report. For 77 years, the United States Marine Corps has been the Official “Santa’s Helpers” in gathering toys and bringing joy to millions of children around the nation. Marine Corps Sgt. Jason Brown led the 2024 campaign.

The local United States Marine Corps Toys For Tots program was able to:

  • Provide hope and a Christmas to 1,905 area children
  • $6,759.10 received in donations
  • $4,473.45 spent on toys
  • 8,785 toys handed out

The toys left over will go into storage and be distributed next year. Brown says all donations stay within the local area of operations.

“Although we are done with Christmas, Toys For Tots isn’t just about Christmas. We would like to work on our literacy program. By providing books to children, our hope is to encourage them to stay in school and lead healthy productive lives. Our next goal is to start a back to school program, where we hand out backpacks to children that contain books and school supplies. We plan to provide books and school supplies to at least two schools in every county each year pending available funds. Toys For Tots accepts donations year round. Donations can be made online. Tax deductible donations can be made by mail in the form of checks, checks should be made out to Toys For Tots. We would like to thank everyone that donated their time and money to help put a smile on children’s faces,” says a statement from Brown.

Those who would like to donate to the program can send donations to:  Toys for Tots, C/O Jason Brown, P.O. Box 165 Lewiston, ID 83501. or donate online at https://bit.ly/400eWE1
