Volunteers set for Twin County United Way’s 27th Day of Caring

LEWIS-CLARK VALLEY – A total of 20 volunteer teams will take part in service projects in Twin County United Way’s 27th Annual Day of Caring presented by Regence BlueShield of Idaho on Friday morning, May 3, 2024. There will be a kickoff at 8 a.m. with welcomes from Twin County United Way staff, as well as from the Presenting Sponsor Regence BlueShield of Idaho. Volunteers will enjoy free coffee and donuts, donated by Albertson’s in Lewiston and Clarkston and Happy Day Catering.

At 8:30 a.m., the volunteers will begin their service at pre-determined nonprofit agency sites throughout the Lewis-Clark Valley, where they will do a variety of projects. Many nonprofit agencies do not have the manpower or funds for projects so the volunteer teams will do a variety of tasks, including painting, cleaning and helping with moves to new offices. Projects will wrap up around noon and the volunteers are invited to the Lewiston Community Center at 1424 Main St. in Lewiston to enjoy free Fazzari’s pizza, donated by Fazzari’s. Support from Regence, P1FCU, TriState Health, LCCU, and ICCU, along with in-kind donations from Fazzari’s, ArtBeat, Happy Day Catering and Albertson’s underwrite the cost of the event. Photos and videos of the day’s activities will be shared throughout the day by Twin County United Way and volunteer teams via social media including Facebook.com/TCUW.
