Vulnerable Child Protective Act Amendment Seeks to Further Ban Gender Reassignment of Idaho Children Struggling with Gender Dysphoria

Dorothy Moon | Chairwoman of the Idaho Republican Party

BOISE — Today, House Bill 71 (H0071) will be heard in the Idaho House Judiciary, Rules and Administration Committee. H0071, the Vulnerable Child Protective Act, is sponsored by Representative Bruce D. Skaug and Senator Lori Den Hartog. The act will amend the existing state ban on female genital mutilation to include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and sex reassignment surgeries when administered to children struggling with gender dysphoria.

The fight to protect Idaho’s children from pseudoscience and the biomedical industrial complex is here.

In accordance with the Resolution 2023-06 regarding Minor Sex Reassignment that the Idaho Republican Party State Central Committee passed at the Winter Meeting on January 7, 2023, Idaho Republican Party Chairwoman Dorothy Moon will testify today at 1:30pm in favor of this legislation.
