KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With the first two weeks of Cascade Conference play in the books, the LC State Baseball team sits ranked No. 8 in the NAIA. The Warriors are 17-7 overall with a 7-1 mark in CCC action.

The Warriors have won five straight including a four-game sweep of Eastern Oregon at home last weekend. LC State is 8-0 at Harris Field and heads to Klamath Falls, Ore., this weekend for a four-game set with Oregon Tech. The teams are tied with 7-1 record in conference play. Bushnell is 4-0 with just one conference series played so far this season.

LC State leads the CCC in slugging percentage (.494) and ERA (4.43). Dominic Signorelli ranks at the top of the conference in slugging percentage (.759), home runs (11) and walks (23). Carter Booth leads in runs scored (35) and doubles (15). Drake George is second in ERA (2.76). Booth is tied for sixth in the NAIA in doubles.

Both UBC and Oregon Tech are receiving votes in the national poll and sit just outside the top 25. LSU Shreveport (La.), who will be in Lewiston April 12-14, jumped to No. 2 in the rankings.
