Women’s Tennis Continues Dominance Over Yotes

LEWISTON – The Lewis-Clark State Women’s Tennis team continued its dominance over College of Idaho in a 6-1 victory on Sunday at the LCSC Tennis Center.
The win improved the Warriors record to 3-4 on the season and improved their record against the Yotes to 17-0 dating back to 2010.
April Buckingham and Heidi Moyo got the day started with a No. 1 doubles victory over Lauren Kreutzer and Nicole Tran 6-2. Carisa Liebenberg and Bonolo Molefe did not drop a game in No. 3 doubles. Rayana Shah and Anne Mathema were leading 5-4 before an injury to Hristina Ljuba cut the match short.
Gwyn Heim earned a No. 2 singles victory over Tran 6-3, 6-2. Maria Eduarda Santos da Silva took care of Elizabeth Sagehorn in No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-3. Liebenberg (No. 3), Naiara Montero (No. 5) and Molefe (No. 6) each earned victories while dropping just one game combined.
