(Pullman, WA) The Washington State University Regents have agreed on a finalist to be the institution’s next president.
The board on Friday settled on “Candidate B” out of three finalists who were recently interviewed in private by the regents. The name of the finalists were not released and the hire won’t revealed publicly until the regents meet to vote on a contract. The board on Friday authorized staff to begin contract negotiations with “Candidate B.” Over 200 people expressed interest in the WSU president’s job.
Last April WSU Systemwide President Kirk Schulz abruptly announced his retirement for June of this year. The announcement came while hundreds of faculty and three former WSU Provosts called for leadership change at the institution.
