(Moscow, ID) The 35 year old Moscow man accused of trying to kill his father has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
Dylan Thompson pleaded guilty to felony aggravated battery in Latah County Second District Court on Tuesday. Thompson was initially charged with attempted 2nd degree murder. The plea is the result of an agreement reached with the prosecutors.
Thompson was arrested by Moscow Police in early October for trying to stab his 73 year old father to death inside an apartment on North Washington Street. Thompson underwent a mental health evaluation and was recently found competent to stand trial by Magistrate Judge Megan Marshall. Judge John Judge is now set to sentence Thompson during a hearing in March.
