(Moscow, ID) On Wednesday, October 09, 2024, at approximately 9:42 PM, Moscow Police Department officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing occurring at 122 N. Washington St. Apt. 1F. The reporting party stated they heard a commotion and upon entering the living room area of the residence, saw the victim, a 73-year-old male, on top of the suspect, a 35-year-old male, holding the suspect to the floor. Officers arrived on scene and the suspect was taken into custody. The victim was transported by ambulance to Gritman Medical Center to be treated for multiple stab wounds. The victim’s status is currently unknown.
It was learned the victim and suspect are family members. However, their identities are not being released at this time.
The suspect was transported to the Latah County Jail and has been charged with Attempted Homicide. This investigation is in the very early stages and there is minimal information available at this point.
