Lewiston, ID- On September 6. 2023, at about 5:30 PM, Lewiston Police and Lewiston Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Grelle Ave and 20th St. for a report of a traffic collision.
The investigation revealed that Tami Myers, 42 years of age, of Lewiston, was northbound on 20th St. in a 2019 Toyota Tacoma with her daughter. Tammie Santos, 45 years of age, of Lewiston, was westbound on Grelle Ave in a 206 Chevrolet Malibu.
Meyers failed to obey the posted stop sign, striking Santos. Santos was trapped and extrication was needed to remove her. Santos was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither Meyers nor her daughter sustained injuries.
Lewiston Police Dept. Manor Collision investigation Team responded and investigated. The intersection was closed for approximately 3 hours during the investigation.
Meyers was cited for failure to Stop at a posted Stop Sign.
