CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the 2023 Fall Academic All-Cascade Conference honorees on Tuesday, and 23 Warriors earned the distinction. LC State Cross Country had 10 men and seven women meet the criteria, and volleyball earned six awards.
To be named Academic All-Cascade Conference, a student-athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.2 or higher and be at least a sophomore in standing.
Senior Brycen Brown represented men’s cross country, as did juniors Carter Gordon, Conner May and Luke Sellmann. Sophomores Jacob Adams, Connor Alexander, Alexander Fry, Tristin O’Brien, Clay Shumaker and Kobe Wessels earned the first academic all-conference nods of their career.
On the women’s side, seniors Madison Howe, Abigail Peightal and Brooklyn Shell met the criteria set forth by the CCC, as did juniors Abigail Gorton and Grace McCormick. The sophomore class was represented by Grace Dixon and Grace Tiegs.
Warrior Volleyball upperclassmen Ashlee Bachman, Kenzie Dean, Hallie Seaman and Kierstyn York were tabbed Academic All-Cascade Conference, along with sophomores Juliauna Forgach Aguilar and Esther Kailiponi.
