On November 18, 2023, eight athletes from Austin Arnett’s Martial Arts America in Lewiston competed in Walla Walla, Washington at the Walla Walla Karate Invitational hosted by the Karate Center of Walla Walla. Led by Coach Sydni Stocks, the team earned a grand champion trophy, along with 11 medals.
Rhyli Stocks: 15-year-old Black Belt Female – Grand Champion Kumite (sparring); 1st Place – Kata, Kumite, and Kobudo (weapons)
Will Musser: 12-year-old Green Belt Male – 2nd Place Kumite (sparring)
Aaron Sauve: 12-year-old Brown Belt Male – 1st Place Kumite (sparring), 2nd Place Kata
Averie Hendren: 11-year-old Green Belt Female – 1st Place Kobudo (weapons), 4th Place Kata
Lily Olson: 12-year-old Brown Belt Female – 1st Place Kata, 2nd Place Kobudo (weapons)
Connor Dixon: 5-year-old White Belt Male – 2nd Place Kumite (sparring)
Marcus Dixon: 7-year-old Orange Belt Male – no placement but he competed strong!
