BOISE — The Idaho Republican Party announced the fifth filing of a declaration of candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Caucus.

In the early morning of December 1, Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey, officially filed and submitted the filing fee to participate in the Idaho Republican Presidential Nominating Caucus. This marks a significant milestone in his pursuit of the Republican nomination for the presidency.

Dorothy Moon, Chairwoman of the Idaho Republican Party, commented, “We are thrilled to announce that this morning Governor Chris Christie officially filed for the March 2nd Presidential Caucus. This is the fifth candidacy filing for our caucus, and further enforces the relevancy the great state of Idaho has on the national level in the race for the Presidency. We eagerly extend an invitation to Governor Christie, and the other qualified candidates, to come visit Idaho and engage directly with our voters to gain insight into the pressing issues that concern the people of our state. This opportunity for open dialogue and firsthand interaction will contribute to a more informed and meaningful exchange of ideas as we collectively address the challenges facing our nation and state.”
