Pullman Regional Hospital Expands Gastroenterology Team

July 1, 2024

(PULLMAN, WA) —Pullman Surgical Associates, a department of Pullman Regional Hospital, is expanding gastroenterology services with the addition of Gastroenterologist Justin Cochrane, DO, and Nurse Practitioner, Lisa Arrett.

Dr. Cochrane is Board-Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, is an American College Osteopathic Internist, and an American College Osteopathic Internist of Gastroenterology.

He sees adult patients for general gastrointestinal care and treatment for conditions such as ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, Crohn’s disease, pancreatic issues, liver disease, chronic abdominal discomfort, constipation, and diarrhea; he also performs colonoscopies for routine screenings and diagnostic tests.

Prior to joining Pullman Regional Hospital, Dr. Cochrane worked at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, ID. He is originally from the Palouse and earned his undergraduate degree from Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, ID. He attended medical school at the School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, AZ; completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Teaching Fellowship at Providence in Spokane, WA and completed a gastroenterology fellowship at LECOM Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, PA. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration at LECOM in Erie, PA.

When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, golf, and reading mystery and crime novels.

Lisa Arrett [pronounced AIR-it] is a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Board-Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. She is also a member of the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and American Red Cross- Disaster Health Services Team. Lisa has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at CompHealth, Emcara Health in Tucson, AZ, Liver Institute in Tucson, AZ, and as a travel nurse prior to joining the Pullman Surgical Associates team.

Lisa has a passion for Gastroenterology, including IBS, dysphasia, and liver disease and functioning. She was originally drawn to the GI field because of its complex nature, the amount of time she could spend with patients diving deep into their concerns and treatment, and she finds liver functioning particularly interesting. She too treats adult patients at Pullman Surgical Associates for a wide range of GI concerns alongside Gastroenterologist, Dr. Justin Cochrane.

When she’s not working, Lisa enjoys biking with her husband, spending time outside, reading, and photography.
