The Idaho State Board of Education will hold a special Board meeting on Thursday May 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Mountain Time.

The purpose of the meeting is to correct an error made during the Board’s April meeting when it approved Idaho State University’s request to offer a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. Board Policy requires such a request undergo an external peer review as part of the proposal. Board staff will request that the Board grant a one-time waiver of the peer review requirement and be supplanted by an external accreditation review.
The Board will also consider a request by the University of Idaho to begin the planning and design on a project to address deferred maintenance in several residential facilities and expand student housing on the Moscow campus by approximately 150 beds.
