Lane, Age 52, Arrested for DUI, Trafficking Meth, and More

On February 28, 2024, at approximately 9:05 PM, an Idaho County Deputy was driving north on Highway 13, when he came upon a blue Jeep Wrangler also going northbound near milepost 25, just outside of Kooskia. The Deputy observed the vehicle cross the center line several times and initiated a traffic stop.

After contact with the male driver, there was reasonable suspicion to believe he was driving under the influence, the field sobriety tests were performed.

While administering the tests, K9 Millie and her handler arrived and performed an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded marijuana, several pieces of paraphernalia, and methamphetamine, both crystalline and liquid.

Kip Lane, age 53, of Kamiah, Idaho was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence, felony trafficking in methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
