LEWISTON – On Saturday, May 18, the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Tammany Creek Road near milepost 4. When deputies arrived, they found a Ford pickup that had left the roadway and rolled into a small field. The two occupants of the vehicle had both been ejected.
Prior to emergency responders’ arrival, multiple civilians stopped to render aid. Medics from the Lewiston Fire Department arrived and provided emergency medical care. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Idaho State Police, the Lewiston Fire Department, and the civilians who stopped to help for their efforts during this incident.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
