CORVALLIS, Ore. – Another standout week by senior guard Callie Stevens resulted in her second weekly honor this season, the conference office announced on Monday. Stevens was tabbed the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for contests played over the weekend.
The Warriors’ leading scorer helped LC State to a pair of key wins over the weekend to put the team at the top of the CCC standings. Stevens tallied 25 points against No. 20 Southern Oregon and added 17 to help LC hand Oregon Tech its first loss of the season. The senior made 15 baskets with eight 3-pointers with a .417 shooting percentage while averaging 21 points per game.
This is Stevens’ ninth weekly honor of her career and second this season.
UP NEXT
The Warriors are on the road for the remainder of January and open the stretch in Portland next weekend. LC State will face Warner Pacific on Friday and Multnomah on Saturday.
