Both the WSU Men’s and Women’s team have achieved tremendous results in recent years.
It’s the first time since 2008 that the men’s team has made the NCAA Tournament, which is led by Kyle Smith and headlined by several breakout student-athletes, including Myles Rice. Smith and Rice were honored as the Pac-12’s coach and freshman of the year, respectively.

The WSU men are tipping off in Omaha, Nebraska against the Drake University Bulldogs at 7:05 p.m. in the first round of this year’s NCAA Tournament. The game is being broadcast live on truTV.
In Pullman, the WSU women are hosting a first round game of the inaugural Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament at Beasley Coliseum. Tipoff against Lamar University is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Thursday and will be available to watch on ESPN+.
