(Lewiston, ID) A 40 year old Lewiston woman was arrested Tuesday morning after her home was raided by the Lewiston Police Department due to a 911 call made from within the residence.

Angel Cordoba, 40, was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault and subsequently booked into the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center on December 17th, 2024.

Officers from the Lewiston Police Department were reportedly dispatched to the 1800 block of 7th Avenue, after receiving a 911 call from the residence. The caller reportedly told the dispatcher that Cordoba was brandishing a knife and threatening to stab the individual.

Cordoba had allegedly been having delusions about artificial intelligence communicating with her and “raping” her. The witness also reportedly told police that just that morning, Cordoba had allegedly been screaming and pounding on the walls of the apartment.

According to official court documents, this behavior is allegedly what led to the individual confronting Cordoba in fear of being “kicked out of their apartment”. Cordoba then allegedly began screaming that she would stab the victim while brandishing her knife above her head.

After some time, Cordoba reportedly went back into her room, giving the victim a chance to “get outside where he waited until Officers arrived on scene”.

Officers reportedly entered the residence and placed Cordoba under arrest. She then admitted to the Officers that she and the victim had a verbal altercation. According to Cordoba, the alleged altercation began when the victim said that they were “evicting her and telling her to leave”. Cordoba denied the allegations of brandishing a knife, which Officers reportedly found later under the covers of her bed.

Cordoba was subsequently booked into the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center. Her bond was set at $25,000, and her Preliminary Hearing will be held December 30th.
