Men’s Tennis Stays Perfect at Home

LEWISTON – The Lewis-Clark State Men’s Tennis team returned home in victorious fashion with a 6-1 win against NCAA Division III opponent Puget Sound at the LCSC Tennis Center on Saturday.
The win snapped a two-match losing streak and improved the Warrior record to 6-4 on the season.
LC State earned victories in all three doubles contests. Itaru Kikuchi and Matus Rusnak defeated Noah Henderson and Conor Blakeney in No. 1 doubles 6-4. Austin Swing and Nell Rollin won in No. 2 doubles 6-2. Gustavo Santos and Pavle Markus took the win in No. 3 doubles 6-3.
Markus did not drop a game in the opening set en route to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Brayden Sawyer in No. 2 singles. Cornelius Sia was also perfect in his opening set in No. 3 singles on the way to a 6-0, 6-1 win. Daniel Tevez, Malte Sommer and Gustavo Santos all came out on top in their singles matches.
