(Lewiston, ID) A pair of LC State Volleyball student-athletes were honored on the 2024 All-Cascade Conference Volleyball teams, announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Junior Juliauna Forgach Aguilar was voted First-Team All-CCC for the second season in a row and freshman Taylor Boyce earned All-CCC Honorable Mention Honors.

Forgach Aguilar put together one of the most prolific offensive seasons in program history and rewrote the record book in multiple categories. The junior from Morenci, Ariz., shattered the LC State record in kills per set (4.60) and points per set (4.91). The previous records were 3.95 in kills per set (Kennedie Clute, 2015) and 4.57 in points per set (Anile Clemente, 2008). Her 488 total kills ranks seventh in Warrior history for a single season and three of her single-match kill totals rank in the top 10 with amounts of 32, 27 and 26.

The outside hitter led the CCC and was fourth in the NAIA in total kills, and she was sixth in the nation in kills per set. Her 56 blocks added to her season point total of 520.5 which had her in the top 10 of the NAIA and ranks seventh in program history. She was efficient with an attack percentage of .233.

“As a program, we are excited for Juliauna Forgach Aguilar to be recognized by the Cascade Conference coaches as one of the best attackers in the toughest NAIA conference in the country,” Head Coach Katie Palmer said. “She continues to live out our five core values, trains with great intensity and strives for the success of the team and program. It is no surprise to me that she not only has etched her name in our record book with this year’s performance, but she has also etched her impact in the hearts of numerous young girls in our stands who proudly wear her number 18.”

As a freshman, Boyce made an immediate impact in the Warrior lineup. The Windsor, Calif., native was second on the team and 10th in the CCC with 2.96 kills per set after totaling 222 total kills. Her career-high 21 kills came against top-10 ranked Corban (Ore.) and she combined with Forgach Aguilar twice for 40 kills in a match.

Boyce put up 20 blocks in the front row to bring her point total to 232.5 for 3.10 per set. She was one of just two freshmen to earn all-conference recognition this season.

“Taylor Boyce is another incredibly passionate member of the program, and we are very excited for her future,” Palmer added. “Receiving this recognition as honorable mention is a testament to her volleyball IQ and resiliency. We are looking forward to getting her back on the court and developing her into the player we know she wants to be for the team and program.”
