Texas Fire Update

Date of Origin:             Monday, July 15, 2024, approx. 4:00 PM PT

 

Location:                        East of Kendrick, Idaho

 

Estimated Size:          150 acres

 

Current situation:

 

Areas on Cedar Ridge, Texas Ridge, Linden, all the way down Highway 3 and across the river have been advised to evacuate and/or have been evacuated. P1 and Texas Ridge is closed. Fifty to sixty structures remain threatened.  Evacuations are being handled by the Latah County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of Latah County Emergency Management. The fire activity has reduced with cooling temperatures in the evening. Firefighters are developing plans through the night to still safely and aggressively

attack the fire. The fire remains at 0% containment.
