LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Volleyball announced the addition of its fifth incoming freshman for the 2024 season in Freeman’s Kate Schneider. The 5-9 right side/outside hitter will join the Warriors in the fall.
Schneider is currently a senior at Freeman High School and has been a member of the Scotties’ volleyball program for four years. During her career she totaled 107 service aces, 309 digs and 117 blocks. She helped the team to a runner-up finish at WIAA 1A State in 2023 and league and district titles three times.
“From the very beginning of the recruiting process for the 2024 class we knew we needed a student-athlete like Kate. She exudes a blue-collar work ethic, desire to compete, and impeccable treatment of others. We’re excited for our community, including our Little Spikers, to get to experience Kate as an incredible role model wearing a Warrior jersey,” Head Coach Katie Palmer said. “Kate comes from winning programs both in high school and club which will serve our program well. She knows what it takes to win. Something unique about Kate, she played all along the net throughout her prep career which means she still has a huge ceiling as a player to develop. We’re thrilled she’s a Warrior and can’t wait to get in the gym training this fall.”
Schneider was voted all-conference while also achieving a great deal of success in both basketball and tennis. She has been active in FBLA and placed at the national level. She is a member of the National Honors Society.
